Soph begins selling Magbo clamping system in US

Moulds that will not fit into the SPI/Euromap/IJS clamping envelopes are easily managed with Magbo says Soph

Soph of Hamburg, Germany, is selling its Magbo magnetic mould clamping system in the United States, through its offices in Brighton, Michigan.

Operations Manager Paul Van Every said the electro-permanent magnetic system has a dense field that gives Magbo systems the strongest air-gap performance in the industry. The US operation has six employees, he said at the Magbo tabletop exhibit at KraussMaffei Corp.’s open house 19 May in Florence, Kentucky.

According to the company, molds of any size and shape can be clamped without modification. Moulds that will not fit into the SPI/Euromap/IJS clamping envelopes are easily managed with Magbo, the company said.
