German manufacturer Eckerle Group is planning to invest some €1.2m at its automotive parts plant in Bóly, in Hungary’s southern part, reports local news agency MTI.
The plant will be expanded, and the manufacturer is to spend about €250,000 on acquiring an additional land plot with the intention of raising the facility’s output capacity and workforce. As part of the planned investment, Eckerle Group is aiming to create some 180 new jobs at the factory in Bóly.
The German firm specialises in making various car components, including brush systems and assemblies, with the use of plastics and other materials. Eckerle says its offer comprises “comprehensive, complex solutions for technically critical plastic parts, such as composite parts made of metal and the manufacturing of stamped or bend inserts and lead frames”, including “two-component injection moulding from hard plastics and elastomers in a single operation.”
In January 2011, Eckerle acquired the plant in Bóly through its acquisition of the assets of Schunk Group.
Eckerle has an aggregate workforce of 3,000 employed at the company's facilities in Germany, Hungary, Romania, Mexico and China. Bóly is located about 200 km from the country’s capital Budapest.
